Interfaith Minister: 'Never instead of, always in addition to...'

A graduate of The New Seminary in NYC and was ordained as an interfaith minister through the Interfaith Temple in NYC in 2005.  She is a member of the World Alliance of Interfaith Clergy whose purpose is ' Building Bridges to a Peaceful World Community.'

With over 40 years experience in earth-based spirituality, she is the co-founder of Chalice Well Fellowship, an earth-based church, in Berkshire County Massachusetts.

Pamela has lectured; published articles on religion; been interviewed on numerous occasions and has taught classes on earth-based spirituality and the feminine divine, for over a decade.  She engages in interfaith dialogue and intra-faith gatherings, when time permits.

In addition to certification through Blazing Star Herbal School as a Flower Essence Consultant, specializing in women’s issues in 1995, Pamela deepened her skills in ‘Interfaith Spiritual Direction’ through One Spirit Learning Alliance in NYC in 2006 - 2007.

Earth-Based Temple - In 2005 Pamela co-founded the Chalice Well Fellowship Temple; the first Earth-Based Interfaith Temple in Berkshire County.  Chalice Well Fellowship became a legal 501c3 temple in December 2008.

Available for traditional, earth-based or interfaith rites of passage in the form of interfaith weddings, legal handfastings, same-sex marriages, baby blessings, commitment ceremonies, memorials and funerals through her business, Divine Rites, which includes premarital counseling.

Currently

Pamela works as a Vigil Volunteer, offering support for family and friends at the patient's bedside just prior to and at the time of death. This can be a comfort to family members who are far away and don’t want their loved one to die alone.
The death vigil is a time to pay one's respects to the departed and give comfort to the bereaved family.  Keeping a death vigil insures that the patient is not alone pending the arrival of a loved one or distant relative.

Pamela completed Hospice Bereavement Volunteer
training in April 2008. As a Pediatric Palliative Care volunteer Pamela is able to assist children and their families who ask for support, during a very difficult time.

Pamela has been a resident of Berkshire County since 1979 and lives with her husband, Jon, in Berkshire MA.

‘I am a seeker of truth on a spiritual journey.

I believe that life has sacred meaning and purpose.

Therefore, May I….

Approach each task with an open heart.

Be a simple and kind presence,

Honor the Divine in all beings.

Show gratitude to those who came before me,

Make the path smoother for those who come after.

Leave each place more peaceful than I found it,

Cherish each day as though it were my last.’
