Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you perform weddings together?

We are both spiritual people who feel strongly about our connection to the Divine and it was a natural progression of that dedication that prompted us to work together; our spiritual viewpoints and strength is one of the many things that drew us together.

Are you both ordained?

Yes.  Pamela was ordained in 1996 by the Universal Life Church; later she attended The New Seminary in NYC for two years and was ordained in 2005; Jon was ordained through the Universal Life Monastery in 2010.

Can you perform weddings separately?

Yes; however there is no extra fee for us performing the ceremony together.

What kind of ceremonies do you perform?

Earth-Based Spirituality; Interfaith; Non-Denominational and Non-Religious in the way of weddings, handfastings, coming of age ceremonies, christenings, house, pet, motorcycle and land blessings, memorials, and funerals.

Can we contribute to the design of the ceremony?

Absolutely; we want you to feel content and happy with your ceremony.

Do you perform ceremonies for people who are divorced?

Yes.

Can you orchestrate with photographers and musicians?

Yes; it is up to you to book those services in advance and explain to them what you require; we work with them for staging purposes and key moments in the ceremony outline.

Can children be included in the ceremony?

Yes.

Can animals be included in the ceremony?

Yes; provided animals are allowed at the location of the ceremony and all requirements concerning animals are adhered to.

Who takes care of the license?

You obtain the license and all the information needed is to be completed beforehand;  once that is accomplished you give the license to us prior to the ceremony which afterwards we will sign.  We make a copy and send the original to the county clerk where you filed for the marriage license initially.

How far in advance do we need to book with you?

As soon as possible in order to see if the date is available on our calendar; we prefer to book six months in advance.

How do we book with you?

Contact us either through email, phone or by mail; you may interview us in person or on the phone.  Once that is completed we will send you the contract which you fill out and return to us with a non-refundable deposit (as stated in the contract).  We require payment to be in full two weeks before the wedding.  We cannot perform a ceremony without  receiving full payment and the license before the ceremony takes place.

Can you do most of the talking so that we do not need to read or remember anything?

Yes, we can work it into the ceremony, there is no reason to make yourself nervous and we want you to feel calm on your wedding day.

Do you provide a ceremony site?

Not at this time; We do have a barn and land and we hope to make that available in the future.

Do you require premarital counseling?

No; however it is part of the fee in our Traditional and Deluxe wedding packages.

Will you do a ceremony rehearsal?

Yes, if that is your desire; there is an additional $25 charge for the Simple Ceremony; rehearsal is included in the fee for the Traditional and Deluxe weddings.

Will you travel more than 30 minutes one way?

Yes.  There is a fee when travel for a Simple Ceremony exceeds 50 miles round-trip or 75 miles round-trip for the Traditional and Deluxe Ceremony.

We do not expect to attend the reception unless you specifically invite us.

Will you say a blessing at the reception before the meal?

Yes; if you would like a blessing before the meal we will happily do that for you.
